What Happens Next?
Ekhaya reviews your submission, engages our bank network, and keeps you updated every step of the way. If you have any specific questions about the documents or the registration process, we're here to help.

AFTER SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS:
This gives a brief discussion of what happens after submitting your documents to us.
Step 1:
Conduct Credit check.
We begin by reviewing your credit profile to understand your financial position and determine your eligibility for a home loan. This allows us to identify the lenders that are most likely to approve your application while ensuring the process starts on the right footing.
Step 4:
Wait for Approval in Principle (AIP)
The banks will review your application and assess your affordability, credit history, and supporting documentation. If successful, they will issue an Approval in Principle (AIP), which is a preliminary indication that they are willing to finance your property purchase.
Step 7:
Choose the Best Offer
If multiple banks approve your application, we'll compare all available offers on your behalf. Together, we'll review the interest rates, repayment terms, and benefits to ensure you choose the home loan that best suits your financial goals.
Step 2:
Obtain list of documents required.
Once your initial assessment is complete, we'll provide you with a personalized checklist of the documents required to process your application. These typically include your identification, proof of income, bank statements, and any additional supporting documents needed by the banks.
Step 5:
Receive Your Approval in Principle
As soon as we receive your Approval in Principle, we'll contact you and explain the details of the offer. We'll guide you through the terms, conditions, estimated repayments, and answer any questions you may have before moving forward.
Step 8:
Attorneys Are Instructed
After you've accepted the preferred offer, the appointed conveyancing and bond registration attorneys are instructed to begin the legal transfer process. They will handle the necessary documentation and registration, keeping you informed until your property transfer is complete.
Step 3:
Submit Application to Leading Banks.
After all your documents have been received and verified, we prepare and submit your home loan application to a panel of South Africa's leading banks. Applying to multiple lenders increases your chances of securing the most competitive interest rate and loan terms.
Step 6:
Property Valuation & Assessment.
Once an offer has been received, the bank will arrange for a professional valuation of the property to confirm its market value. If you qualify for any available housing grants or subsidies, these will also be assessed during this stage of the process.
Final Outcome:
Your Journey Made Simple
From your initial credit assessment to the final registration of your home loan, our team manages the process every step of the way. We liaise with the banks, assist with documentation, negotiate the best available offers, and keep you informed throughout the journey—making your path to home ownership as smooth and stress-free as possible.
